Introducing the Light ‘em Up Symbol

When we are about to light a cigar, everything’s on the up–we enlighten our senses, elevate our spirits and lift our mood. After all, we’re are about to enjoy a beautiful product for the next minutes or even hours.

When we talked about the feel of Light ‘em Up with our friends and ambassadors the other day, we all agreed what it means to us. It’s about positivity, hospitality and an open, forward-looking mindset. Light em Up is a way of life. 

Now, feelings are often represented by symbols and when Alex came up with the "L👆" gesture in our monthly Zoom call, we were stoked by the idea! Kind of like “Thumbs up” for cigar lovers!

We quickly remembered other communities having cool symbols as they transfer meaning, foster comradery and a sense of unity. Maybe this is what made us feel being part of something, although we were all just hanging out in a video call.

So, next time we are about to light em up, you–and everybody reading this–will know what the “L’n’Up” is about…. and if you feel like us and light em up, we will know for sure! #lightemup
